The dark mysteries of Prague

I went at the meeting.
I don't exaclty know who I met, his face looks at me today not clear.
I don't remember the time spent, but what he told me.
He told me about how old is this ancient town, the birth, the omen foretold by the princess Libuše looking out from the hill of Vyšehrad, the legends of Charles Bridge, Vodník and the others demons that haunt the Vltava...
In the end he told me that I must write and talk about, just after beying personally where these stories has taken place, where many years ago happened horrible events. What the people thinks today, it was only story invented.
I feel he will recontact me again.

Meeting in Malá Strana

My mobile phone rings rarely, my new Czech number is saved in few telephone books, since I live in Prague from less than 2 months.
But yesterday morning at 07.05am, my phone rang. The number was not appeared, unknown caller. nevertheless I accepted the call. I hear a man with a soft voice, slowly, said something in Czech. I understand that wants to talk about something very important ragarding the dark mysteries of this town. I caught some words on his speech: Dnes večer, Setkání, Půlnoc e Malá Strana. Then he asked me to have a meeting with him in the lesser town at midnight, in a lane near Nerudova. I am ready to go!
It's a cold night, I am at top of the steps, to the left there is a pivnice (beer house) and at the bottom of the stairs in the shaded part, I see him!
He's over there...

To be continued...

My place in Prague

I live in Prague since 29 September 2010. For 1 month I was been guest at a friend's place. Since 1 November I moved to a small flat in Vinohrady, Praha 3, where I am actually living alone. Is the place, where I live my new experience in Prague, the town I love from 10 years by this time, since when I read his stories, his tales and legends that inhale many writers, poets and musicians.
I take inspirations as well, for writing in this blog, dedicated at this magical town. And this is the place where I idealize and publish my posts, in my place in Prague.
Feel free to visit me, friends of mine!

Jindřišská věž

This is what I mentioned in the previous post "...passes a hundred towers and thousand spires that cross clouds and fog".
One of hundred towers, the highest 65,7 meters, an ancient gothic bell tower that was built between 1472 and 1476.
The tower Jindřišská is located in the center of Prague and break in the ordinary life of a society tendentially modern.
It creates around it a vampire scenario, for those who wish to dream and living in his favorite horror story.

A bat in the sky

Free like peace

The lanes of Prague

In latino Praga Mater Urbium. "Praga Madre delle Città".

E' stato inciso sulla moneta da 50 Kč.
