The side of Tyn

I always look up, when I walk in Prague. Often at the times I see the gothic spires of the beautiful Tyn Church. So old, So unique. Inside resides the tomb of Tycho Brahe, one of the most famous astronomer and alchemist.
He was the official imperial astronomer under the patronage of the Bohemian king and Holy Roman emperor Rudolph II.

I see you into the dark

The picture has been taken in Kampa, the sleeper island under the stone bridge.
The island surrounded by the Devil's tream and the Vltava is submersed in a deep, arcane dream, but in some special nights, the island wakes and we can see the real face...plunged into the dark.

The origins of Czech republic

An ancient legend records a great revolt of Angels against God. The leader of AngelsLucifer – was the most popular and favorite to God. After the bloody battle, God punished all of them by throwing them down the Heaven. During that fall, one of the precious stones from Lucifer’s crown loosened and dropped down creating a Czech basin with Prague in its center.
Later, according to theologians, Lucifer became Satan or Devil. The basin when Prague stands now is not only a symbol of revolt, but also, a carrier of occult light and mysterious knowledge

That is why Prague is all about hermetical teachings, alchemy and magic. Stories of monsters, spirits, apparitions, strange noises are everywhere..

What do you believe?

Where the reality ends, begins the fantasy. But what is fantasy? it sounds something invented, something so far from real. That's true somehow. But fantasy is made by reality, real facts. And in Prague the fantasy is mixed with OLD real facts. Old and sometimes terrifying...
this haunted city is suspended between a false reality and true fantasy that leads to horror, evil hidden in symbols, signs and icons related to those who believed to another spiritual world within the world we guess to know...
What do you believe? God, Satan, Angels, Demons, restless Souls. We have many occurrences from the hidden world, just keep your mind open to unusual experiences and pay close attention to the details of your surroundings.

Karlův Most stand the test of time

The ancient stone bridge.
There is used to stand another bridge before, called Judith Bridge, damaged by ice and flood in February 1342.
The first stone for the new bridge was laid a few years later, in the 1357.
The new stone bridge was built by the Holy Roman Emperor and Czech King Charles IV.
Charles IV believed in astronomy, magic, and the pursuit of fortune.
He knew a mysterious method to use for the construction of the bridge: according to Pythagoras, the use of numbers was one way of expressing the eternal. Numbers... were used in order to grant sturdiness, which would guarantee it's eternal survival.
The contruction of Charles Bridge took 15 years. the opening ceremony was chosen by the court astronomer in order to set the bridge on the path of good fortune. This date has never repeated itself in history and was written in the following combination: 1 3 5 7 9 7 5 3 1 (1357, 9th July, 5:31 o'clock)
These numbers must have been really lucky becauise the bridge has withstood numerous wars and floods, including the great flood of 2002.
Charles IV chosed also special materials for the contruction: the bridge was built of bohemian stone, million of eggs and wine, as the chemical analysis proved the presence of egg protein in the mortar...
Karlův Most, stand the test of time.

Ancient world

Look around.
Here it is
an ancient mad world,
where a lot of blood flowed, and 12 heads were hanged and rotted on the top of the Old Town Bridge Tower for 10 long years... some years later the guard of the tower was found terrified and shocked after he spent the night inside. Some people till now avoid to go the tower at night time.
Legends, tales, no! This is where the stones hides horrible truly stories.
Are you enough courageous to enter the tower?

Vltava, the most haunted river

I believe the Vltava is the most haunted river in Europe. The river that separate the Lesser town and the Old Town has been the witness of such horrible events happened in Prague, the old Capital of the Holy Roman Empire.
Charles IV, San Vitus, Venceslao IV and Rodolf II were some of the main characters of the great Reign of Bohemia, all of them believed in Astronomy, Mistycism. Alchimy, worship of the arts and occult sciences were concentrated here...
Mysterious forces came here. Who they are, what kind of nature and world they belongs, nevertheless they still live here. The Vltava hides more of what we know or we expect.
I stare at the water and I have the impression something is over there...

Just walk straight

Come to breath acrossing the Charles Bridge, if you can...!
Come to look around you, when the fog surrounds you and hide anything could attack you or just stroke you sweetly and magically...
just walk straight and stay in the middle of the bridge, to avoid to be pushed away to the Vltava. Ask help to the Saints placed on both sides, if you believe...
*Thanks to JEAN ROST for this photo taken at sunrise.

I don't care

Have you ever imagine to be alone in the world? Have you ever imagine to stand in the train and the people next to you does not exist, they are only ghosts or who knows what they are...?
They all look at you, they all try to reach you and speak up. This has no sense, you have no sense, I don't understand your speech! ... I just close my eyes and I don't care.

Symbols, Signs and Icons

The Old Town Bridge Tower is not  the only one of the gothic structure, who comunicate to those who know how to read symbols and signs... Charles IV and his architetc Petr Parleř,  designed the tower not only for beauty. Once you discover the secrets and reasons of symbols, signs, icons and... magical practices used in places touched by mysterious forces and Prague is no exception, you will get another point of view of the things happened and happening around us.

Haunted town

Prague one of the most haunted and supernatural city of all cities of Europe. Over the centuries Prague has been the scene of plagues, pogroms, countless wars, invasions by foreign armies, mass executions.
Consequences: Dark energies still may reside at these places around us...
Many people believe that these types of traumatic occurences leave behind energy traces and Prague has a lot of these. Many residents and visitors strongly feel the energy currents of the city. I love to investigate where for many years was a meeting point for alchemists and astrologers during the reign of Emperor Rudolf II. The architecture of Prague is covered in arcane esoteric symbols which can reveal secret gothic lore to those who know how to read them!

Earthly

My long dream has finished. Nevertheless I realized to beying caught from the forces of ~Ł'altrα Þaяte~. In the recent days I wished to see the place where the dream took the stage, an incredible real experience.
From Střelecký Island I had a nice view. I was sitting on a bench, and stare at the ancient, stone, Charles Bridge.
It was rained recentlly as I walked on the wet land, and the Vltava was still stormy. Suddenly the wind increased as the leaf's rustling... sighs surrounds me, creepy voices. I thought I was alone in this desert island in a cold evening of February.
But I should be calm because Earthly is where we live, where should be real, where death and sin and ordinary life should be themes.
Too bad that this is wrong! Earthly does not exist right here!

Stay there

I finally woke up, the dream is over. I make sure I am living in reality in our ordinary life.
The haunted bridge, the trap in Kampa and all those abnormal, unknown presences diseppeared from my side.
I stare the street from the window, I see people, normal persons, finally.
But suddenly a chill gust of wind shook the lamp. I look up to the ceiling, and I see a black light spreading like a stain, that is killing slowly the daylight.
I ran up to the mansard, sit in my bed and just close my eyes convince myself that somebody from~Ł'altrα Þaяte~has chosen me...
Stay there, you'll live!

Walking toward reality

Walking toward the stone bridge, every step forward is heavy even I feel the bridge is collapsing behind me.
The dark energies haunts the bridge as I can feel it. Dark presences is here... abnormal creatures, demons or restless souls, as the drowned Saint...
I can see the Old Town Bridge Tower standing in front of me, but it seems I can't get it closer to me, as I can't go away from my damned dream. The last time I have seen the tower was yesterday night in the wall next to my bed, in my place, not so far from the Charles Bridge in reality.

Dream is not over

Cursed...
in a dream, with no hope of release unless mysteriouse forces comes to take me away from here.

I look at the Old Town Bridge Tower. For ten long years was horribly decorated with the heads of Czech noblemen who were executed at the Old Town Square on 21, June, 1621. It's like I see them hanged on the top at the side of the Lesser Town, Malá Strana.
>And then some movements distract my eye from the tower. It seemed I saw the statues of Charles Bridge moving in the dark, maybe they really protect the children of Kampa Island, as the legend has it.
>Something in the water is swimming, it seemed I saw a strange green creature with a human body and the head of fish. -Vodník is you! an evil creature connected to the Bohemian Folklore, he wear a top-hat and tail-coat. He use to collect the souls of the drowned persons and keep them into glass cruets on the river bottom. According to the story, he can stand out of water just for short times, attracting passersby especially young girls to the bank of the Vltava and drown them.

Trapped in Kampa

I can't be sure how much time has passed since I am walking in Kampa... as I said the dream goes on and it seems never ends. No one clock is visible around me. In the real life I should already see the sun light rising, and light up the Island and the Charles Bridge. But the sky is always dark and I can hear only the moving water of the Vltava and Čertovka the stream of the devil.
As time went by I am feeling different, powerful, individualist and fascinating.
...serenity in my new dark world.

Far from our world

In my dream Im running across Kampa Island, under the stone bridge. I run following the light before the darkness catch me...
My dream is cursed, as the golden town was in his past cursed by the presences of the devil and demons...
during my walk I found a book under a bench: 77 legends of Prague, It tells more about this damn dream so real, and that seems never ends. I should come through this and going out from this hellish.

The dream goes on

The stage is always at night time and I feel like a vampire, walking downtown: there is no people along the streets, also the Old Town and Mala Strana are empty, and the city is all mine or maybe not...
